The College of Charleston has been helping students reach their highest potential for over 250 years. We are student-focused and parents, grandparents, and family members play an essential role in maintaining our core values. The Parents’ Fund is the avenue that families use each year to declare their impact on their students and the values of the College.

There are no small gifts

All donors—no matter the size of their gift—enrich life at the College of Charleston. Smaller gifts add up quickly to make a substantial impact over a year. Gifts from parents are a show of involvement, passion, and confidence in the College of Charleston, and strengthen our University’s stature.  The strength of parent giving lies in the participation of all College of Charleston parents. Every gift is appreciated and every gift is fully tax deductible.

Philanthropy, the state, and tuition all play a role

If the school were supported by tuition alone, we’d barely make it through the first semester before we would have to call it a day! Tuition at the College really only covers about half the expenses at the College. Yet, private support, such as supporters of the Parents’ Fund, help keep those doors open long past the first semester; keeps students in their seats, and faculty at the front of the classroom. Philanthropy enhances the entire campus.
