Donors, advocates and champions
As our front line advocates, our volunteer leaders are a key component to advancing the values and mission of the College of Charleston. Through speaking engagements, attending events on behalf of the College, meeting with prospective students and parents, and networking with alumni, our volunteer leaders elevate the College across the city, the region and the nation.
Join the CofC family. Volunteer opportunities include:
Parent Advisory Council
Parent Advisory Council (or PAC) is a group of dedicated parents invited to participate by the president. The Parent Advisory Council's aim is to support the general goals and purposes of the College of Charleston, as well as its highest priorities, and to foster bonds with parents of students and alumni. The council acts both as a fundraising committee and as a forum for the exchange of information concerning the activities and programs of the College as a whole. The council provides an opportunity to support events and activities, which enhance the college experience for students and families and help to strengthen the institution’s financial foundation. For more information about the Parent Advisory Council, please contact Ann Treat.
Committed to Charleston
Committed to Charleston (or C2C) is our student giving group on campus. Chartered by students in 2013, they took on the commission of making philanthropy important and apparent on the College campus. To become a member of C2C, a student needs to make a gift of at least $17.70 (the year of our founding) to the College of Charleston Fund, which is the priority fund of our annual giving programs and serves the area of greatest need, including scholarships, student programming, and the low faculty-student ratio. For more information about Committed to Charleston, please contact John Hartman.
